After (short) disucssion
https://lists.apache.org/thread/cwfmqbzxsm0gobtpo8kmfr99nfv29c2y I am
calling for lazy consensus on dropping MySQL (by Oracle) driver/client
support in our Dockerfiles

Just to recap the reasoning - the policies of apt certificates for Oracle
MySQL reports are not playing well with anyone - particularly with Docker
containers released in the past. Despite several serious issues they had
with that - they keep on doing it, leading to broken MySQL installations
and unusable images.

We are using MariaDB drivers (using 100% compatible protocol) for 2 years
and they had proven to be well maintained and stable (no issues reported).
There is no good reason for us to support MySQL drivers for our users.

Unless someone objects, the Lazy Consensus will be reached in 72 HRs on
Friday, 31 October at 2:09 am CET.
