As discussed in https://lists.apache.org/thread/s5pchk082wpqro8vk400c7wv5jhsbvwg this is an official call for lazy consensus on the AI guidelines and PR template checkbox we just merged.

But if any of the committers have a very strong objection to the concept of having the guidelines and PR checkbox - feel free to raise it and we will reconsider it. The consensus is more on the concept, not on detailed text - I merged it so that we all can start experiencing the PR template and see if the guidelines are "followable". So if you would like to propose any changes to the template or guidelines, I guess from now on just a regular PR will be enough, and the need to just tweak something will not break the general consensus. The consensus will be reached on Tue, 13th of Jan 2026 at 4pm CET. J.,
