My implementation makes use of Java2D (java 1.2 and higher) or ImageIO (Java 1.4 and higher) or JAI (aditional jars). The Imaging support of one of these is loaded and used at runtime based on availability. Currently it supports simple operations such as Scale/ Resize, Rotate, Crop, Grayscale, TextOverlay, ImageOverlay and Border.
