The "ivyde site" is only a subdirectory of the whole of the Ant project website. Back when we migrated to git the way the ASF web hosting worked meant the site had to be in svn - published via svnpubsub. I think there is an alternative git workflow by now, but it won't be feasible to convert only part of the site. So it would be all or nothing.
