Best choice. I use it, too.

It works on Linux and Windows (not yet MacOS). All you need is a link to
the /usr/lib/openoffice/soffice in you path. I submitted a bug some time
ago against Debian and they added a link (/usr/bin/soffice) to solve the
bug. I tested it on Ubuntu, and it works, too.
