Hi,

So I looked in the issuezilla DB and didn't see anything referencing the
dynamic changing of the look and feel. Since I'd like to try and fix it,
when I file an issue, to whom should it be assigned?

Also, and I apologize if this is documented somewhere, I'm still reading
through the various docs...what is the expected behavior of clicking on
the [Apply] button in a Settings Tab and then clicking [Cancel]? Should
it restore the previous state, or is it "too late" because Apply was
already clicked?

Hi Ted,

Welcome to the wonderfull world of ArgoUML development!

I doubt that you need to set JAVA_HOME nowadays...this used to be
necessary
in the past.

Yes there are many warnings. Switching them off would mean that nobody
is
tempted any more to solve them - hence we better keep them switched on.
Maybe you feel like fixing some of them?

Long ago, I have been experimenting with switching the look and feel
inmediately, but it did not work. IIRC, there is still a commented out
line
of code to test this out.
I do not remember the exact resulting effect, nor the cause of the
failure,
but it was not something that I could solve, so I abandoned the attempt.

Yes, the Tools menu is intentionally empty - it can be filled by
plug-ins/modules.
Admittingly, from usability point of view, this is not a sound situation
-
there must be a better way.

If you feel you could improve on any of these pooints, please go ahead.
The best way to get it done is to create an issue (if it does not exist
yet)
in our IssueZilla database, discuss the way to solve it there, and
attach a
patch.

Regards,
Michiel

Hello,

I just pulled the sources from the subversion repository and then tried
to do a build. As the quick start in the Cookbook mentions, I set the
JAVA_HOME, then did

build run

and I get lots and lots of warnings. Since it appears the source hasn't
been fully generified, can we turn off the warnings by default?

Also, I notice that changing the look and feel requires an app restart
-- is there a reason an update UI isn't done on the ArgoUML main JFrame?

Finally, I notice that the Tools menu is empty -- is that a known
problem?

Thanks,
Ted
