You are quite right to wait. I've gone through alittlebitofeverything.zargo checking each panel and comparing between old and new implementation
It may be that there are other ways to create some of these model elements (right click on explorer) but the users will be used to finding them somewhere on the property panel. I am tracking my progress here - http://argouml.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=6003 I don't know of any commit since 0.30 that we do not want for release 0.30.1 so I don't see much point in a branch.
