Hi Linus, another reason probably is that Google prefers to select open source projects that were not selected before.
Your analysis of the situation of ArgoUML evolvement is correct though. ArgoEclipse would have been a great buzzer, because the other two free eclipse UML2 based tools are not in best shape, too: UML2 Tools is dying, and Papyrus isn't yet finished. ArgoEclipse could have a nice home in the eclipse forum (http://eclipse.org/forums/). The obstacle of the needed license change is gone for a long time! I'm working on another approach for "buzz": tool integration and case studies that prove ArgoUML's ability in interesting tool chains. Unfortunately we have not yet reached the UML2 stability to seamlessly integrate with AndroMDA, ArchgenXML 3 or the MIWG test cases. But I take these as benchmarks and search for collaboration. (I hope to see ArgoUML being one of the participating tools in MIWG, it would be the first free tool that participates among very well-know commercial tools. I'm a silent mailing list member for more than a year now and will become active when I see that it makes sense.) Both my and the ArgoEclipse approach (they complement one another) strongly benefit from better UML2 support. It's crucial, as stated many times. On the positive side, the situation *considerabely* changed here: while some time ago developers needed to be introduced in UML2 and eUML before they could change the code, now large portions of the code already show how UML2 works so everything is already in place. Additionaly, familiarity with UML2 should now outweigh UML1 knowledge, and there are much more UML2 related web resources, even in our own pages. Maybe we should take some time to make an actual list of what is needed to make progress in the mentioned areas?
