Mandy Chessell commented on ATLAS-1836: --------------------------------------- The changes to location relationships will not work - locations may be included in multiple different hierarchies. (EG the UK is in the EU and in Nato - all of these are physical locations.) This is why the relationships are many to many. It is ok to add the aggregation. I have added it to model on the wiki. OperatingPlatform does not need a supertype - it is not an asset we are managing - just informational The OperatingPlatform is a descriptive type - it is not the physical hardware - so the relationship between Host and OperatingPlatform is an association - not aggregation. OK for HostCluster and VirtualContainer to be aggregations. I have added this to the wiki. > Area 0 of the open metadata model > --------------------------------- > > Key: ATLAS-1836 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ATLAS-1836 > Project: Atlas > Issue Type: Task > Components: atlas-core > Reporter: Mandy Chessell > Assignee: David Radley > Labels: OpenMetadata, VirtualDataConnector > Attachments: ATLAS-1836.patch > > > This task delivers the JSON files for the new models that describe types for > Area 0 in the open metadata model.
