Mark Grover commented on BIGTOP-1110:
-------------------------------------

The last release of flume was 1.4.0 in July 2013 that relies on the old
protobuf. Since we don't patch components in Bigtop, if I am getting this
right, this translates to we will have to bundle a new (hopefully soon to be
released) release of flume that's compatible with Hadoop 2.1.0-beta+ (i.e.
protobuf 2.5.0).
Anyone disagree?
