HI Daniel,

>Yes. I'd like to introduce myself as the newest member of the Digital

>going, as part of DDGTS' contribution to the community.

Great; thanks for introducing yourself and your affiliation. We it's
one of the big pending things--actually, the biggest--of this project.

yes and no. yes, there is a list of companies but not on this mail list;
and the list is not exactly set in stone. Rather, we use the private
[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ list. I can add you.

To a degree, we've been playing that by ear. We have the case studies
templates--which you saw, I presume (I list them from the BizDev
homepage and Docs and files section), but they are really meant
ultimately as guides.

Justin also wrote (substantially) the case study templates. As models
go, they are good. But again, playing it by ear is pretty important,
obviously, as large companies might have different things to say and
speak to. A key thing to keep in mind is that a case study can lead to
getting the company to help promulgate OOo product and community.

Yes, please. And, as my brief conversation with John McCarthy (other new
member) indicates, they are always in a state of some improvement.

Precisely. :-)

For now, our case studies are essentially listed by John McCreesh, from
the product pages.

Case studies take time to do properly. Justin has been great for helping
with the templates, but we also need to do necessary follow up. At
OOoCon, we had an important BizDev meeting and the people there agreed
to help with case studies--providing information about who their clients
are, etc. (Most were effectively brokers.)

The next step is to send a note to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'll add you, as I
indicated. The list is ... quiet.... but the people involved are
interested in helping. They are just way busy actually getting others to
use OOo.

best,
Louis
