No problem. I've also been busy.

When you say "add things", are we simply talking add an entry (row) in the
consultants spreadsheet and upload it back to the Project?

More or less; contacting the original poster would be nice, too. Of course, I also have grander ambitions than merely doing that but for the moment, that should do.

I should be able to manage this most of the time. How many outstanding
additions are there to be made? I've got nine since 21st April that I've
kept since considering joining the project.

Maybe just a few more than that.

Is there a template "reply" that is given to prospective applicants, and
what, if any, checking should be done?

Not that I know of; looking in the archives should help. I can draft one for you, too.

What if they send the email in a language I can't read?

Then politely ask them to submit something you can read. We can add to the spreadsheet the request that all mail submitted be in, say, English.

Would you be the first person I would come to about questions or problems,
or someone else?

I suppose me. As mentioned, I do have plan for the page, but we need to address pending issues, first.

Do I have to give you/anyone else confirmation or Cc: replies to applicants
or queries? Obviously I'd keep an archive of email to and from, anyway.

Nope.

Apart from adding/amending entries on the directory, would the role have
any other responsibilities?

Up to you, but at first, I'd like to just handle the backlog of requests.

Username: pasco

Would I be using the Issue Tracker or the Project page to handle the
spreadsheet?

Issue tracker would be easiest, at least for now. Just file a new issue per update cycle or use the same one. I'll start the cycle now and attach the page to it, assigning it to you:

When done just reassign to me: louis

Cheers,

Adam.

Thanks!

Cheers,
Louis
