Hangouts force inevitable problems in selective availability and cause
serious worries about exclusion of some contributors.  They also raise
questions of off-list decision making.

Recording them helps mitigate both worries and was a substantial component
in the argument in favor of allowing them at all.

Please reconsider any decision not to record.
