Thanks.
I suggest using the Spring CachingConnectionFactory: http://static.springsource.org/spring/docs/2.5.x/api/org/springframework/jms/connection/CachingConnectionFactory.html The CachingConnectionFactory is not tied to any particular MOM and I've found it to work very well with many different MOMs. It also provides Session caching and MessageProducer caching as well as automatic reconnection. The model it uses is to create one connection per instance of the CachingConnectionFactory and use that single connection to create many sessions. JMS compliant MOMs work very well with this model and if you need more than a single physical JMS connection object, you can just create additional CachingConnectionFactory instances. Given the features and flexibility, the widespread deployment and the use of a liberal open source license of the CachingConnectionFactory, why create yet another connection factory?
