Not really and I don't think so.

Since this is considered a new component, this should be included in main

There is no incubation stage. It will be added and available with the next
release.

You open a Pull Request and we review it, then we could iterate.

Testcontainers would help in having a real feedback from a
containearized environment. Without a solution like that it's hard to test
this component. This has always been a problem. But we could eventually
think about it later.

I think the idea is to use what Solr suggests.
