Back in November, when I began this work, my intention was to use the
Castor JDO public API. The unfortunate downside to doing this is that
the org.exolab.castor.jdo.Database interface means little to nothing.
But it doesn't mean that we can't refactor things. In fact, the work
I've already done and work I intend to do includes quite a lot of
refactoring.
