Between 0.9.7 and 0.9.9, there are a great number of code changes
around the handling of dependent objects, including changes to bring
in polymorphism support and a major refactoring of quite a bit of
code - as well as a bugfix somewhere in there on dependent object
handling, amongst others.
Trying to backport that change to 0.9.5, without bringing the rest
with it, strikes me as... mildly insane. :)
