I think that last error was caused by a flaw in my "switch from sun 1.6 to openjdk 1.7" script.
When I set the default version of java to openjdk 1.7 and run mvn install, it works fine. So I'm still +1 on linux for this release. [INFO] Cayenne Release Assembly ..........................
