I replied to Prasanna's email on this issue with the path forward, and apologize for moving forward without figuring out what a fix would be for this. We have to do a 4.1.1 to officially fix it. The hosted RPM's can contain the fix, since they are not an official ASF artifact (and therefore don't require VOTEing, etc...). -chip
