For any release - RC validation involves validation of release artifacts only but not actual testing. All Test cycles should be closed before we even build RC itself.

My thinking is that three days is not a sufficient amount of time to verify its general correctness unless we have a vast suite of automated regression tests in place (which I don't think we do).
