I was able to create a snapshot in 4.2 simulator after applying the changes from https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/commit/dfb81ac1274d8ebe4a47223d10f3de44aa9091bf patch suggested by David.
Just a suggestion, if the fix is present in 4.4 can we have this 4.3 and 4.2 as well.
