No. At the time, I first tried the resize operation. After it failed (and later
succeeded upon re-building my environment), I then tried the volume snapshot
(which failed until I re-built my environment).

In short, there was never a time with concurrency between the resize and volume
snapshot operations.

    Hi Mike,
Is there any volume snapshot operation in progress for that ROOT volume,
when resize is attempted?

I tried while the VM was in the Running state and then I also tried in
the Stopped state. Same results.
