Steven, how hard would it be to fire an email for each and every change, just like CVS does?

FWIW, a friend set up a Java servlet to do hourly emails, but it diffs the latest against the latest one that precedes the last update, so you don't loose anything. I'm sure he'd be willing to hand over code. But I know you prefer Python for this sort of stuff, Steven ;-)

Apache is moving to MoinMoin for a central Wiki, and AFAIK it can send mail diffs OOTB.
