Yes, talking about technology rather than about writers, but IMO writers will come if they can use productive tools for the job.

Heck, use Wiki format to rough it in!  It's easy and you
don't have to worry about this tag or that.

The Wiki format is ugly, different for every Wiki and difficult for more sophisticated tasks like internal linking. How do you reference a specific section? What happens if you move it around?
