It is matching the correct node, because the catch-all node would not print anything out, and the contents of /html/body/div are being printed. Just to be sure, though, I removed the <xsl:template match="node()|@*"></xsl:template> code from both xsl files, and I get the same results. So I don't think that is the problem.
