Hi all PMC members, I started a VOTE thread in general@incubator to accept BeanShell in the incubating projects, Bertrand Delacretaz and Ant Elder made interesting observations (pasted below) about accepting BeanShell directly to Commons.
I think we are in the similar past situations when we voted new committers and accepted their donations to the Commons Sandbox - WDYT? Would it be reasonable for that PMC accepting BS in Sandbox and accept a couple of new committers? Many thanks in advance, all the best! -Simo http://people.apache.org/~simonetripodi/ http://simonetripodi.livejournal.com/ http://twitter.com/simonetripodi http://www.99soft.org/ ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Bertrand Delacretaz <[email protected]> Date: Mon, May 27, 2013 at 11:37 AM Subject: Re: [VOTE] Accept Apache BeanShell in the Incubator To: [email protected] On Sat, May 25, 2013 at 9:07 AM, ant elder <[email protected]> wrote: > ...Half the committers are ASF > members so they know what they're doing already, we're not going to teach > Sebb anything new about doing releases... Makes sense, I agree with you that the Incubator doesn't bring any more value in this case...has the commons PMC been asked about this option? I'm changing my vote to -1, at least until this is clarified. -Bertrand --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
