I understand that there are strong negative views about LLMs, and I respect that. That said, the comment “I will stop being a member and contributor of ASF, and migrate everything I support off of ASF software” honestly came as a bit of a shock to me.
Of course, if this project could eventually live under Apache, that would be great from my side. But if that’s not possible, I plan to continue by setting up an independent organization, just like many other open source projects do. My main goal in writing this was to connect with others who share the same idea and move the project forward together. (I chose to bring it up on the Apache mailing list because of the breadth of experience and talent here.) That’s why I’d really appreciate more constructive feedback, rather than purely negative reactions.
