I’ll do my best to address the concerns you mentioned.

Thinking about it more, I realized this idea might actually apply better in a 
company setting, where knowledge often gets lost when someone leaves, rather 
than being tied strictly to Apache projects.

So no need to frame it only around Apache projects.
