I am not sure what you mean by “open issues” and have no idea about Apache Superset, but I understand from your follow-up that your question is rather about tickets than issues. GitHub is surely a large part of your problem. It can do for an amateur project, but a project with thousands of tickets needs a proper ITS.

Another meta-issue is permissions on your ITS. I for one have been contributing to Apache for decades, yet I have no permission to even retitle a ticket in your ITS. That topic is discussed in https://lists.apache.org/thread/nzq5pykml8zbdld019ds2z49pgjldmqv Ticket analysis and triaging are complicated, so if even those who have all the resources (skills/will) needed don't get the permission by default, you need to work on recruiting and retaining volunteers. Regarding recruitment, analysis is completely lacking from https://superset.apache.org/developer-docs/contributing/overview#types-of-contributions This does not help retention, which suffers when a role is not valorized and/or credited. It's not clear that Superset embodies “Community Over Code” judging from https://github.com/apache/superset/graphs/contributors, which seems to consider nothing but commits. I can't really recommend All Contributors as a tool (see e.g. https://github.com/all-contributors/allcontributors.org/issues/1066 for example), but the effort highlights a meta-issue multiple projects struggle with. Analysis and triaging are rarely rewarding, and *from a very quick look*, I don't see much in Superset to credit or encourage important roles such as analysis, QA and strategic advice.

As things currently stand, the problem goes beyond credit; it is difficult to advise you in part because I do not even see how many people have the permissions needed to help you with analysis/triage.

I am also unsure what you mean by “feedback“, but in any case, having an ITS designed to track all issues would surely help.
