Hi all, I guess with GraalVM, issues come up wherever reflection is used. If you do, you need to give the Graal compiler some hints on which classes to also include in the binary. I think I did that for PLC4X some time ago.
Unfortunately, I can’t seem to be able to find that work anymore. Chris From: Steve Lawrence <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, 17. After ApacheCon 2019 (where I first learned about Graal VM) I spent a little time playing with GraalVM to build a native binary with the help of sbt-native-packager. I believe I was able to get a native binary built after only a couple of small changes, but overall it wasn't too difficult, and things might be better now that it's a couple years later. As I recall, the startup time was much better than OpenJDK, but the runtime performance was quite a bit slower. I still have that branch if there's interest in what changes needed to be main, but I'm sure it doesn't rebase cleanly at all since it's so old. I haven't used it as a normal JVM.
