well, perhaps OOo isn't explaining it's concept very well here :-\.

A "form" as in "form properties" is a collection of controls. While a
form can be bound to a table/query, all belonging controls are bound to
columns in this table/query.
So, if you're displaying and changing properties of the form, you decide
for all controls which belong to this form.

How could you set a data field in the form properties then, when the
data field is something which applies only to *one* of the *many*
controls of that form?
