Hi Christian,
A warm welcome. Experienced database developers are always needed :-)
The SDK is a good starting point, may be you also want to have a look at
the module dba/connectivity
in the folder source/drivers/dbase and files. The driver is located in
dbase :-) the base classes are located in the files
folder. The main classes are driver, connection, (prepard)statement, and
of course the result set. There exists also some predicates for the
analyzer tool.
The whole bunch of code is writen in C++ so it shouldn't be hard to
understand it. Helper classes are also located in connectivity/inc
I hope this helps a bit. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Best regards,
Ocke

Hi [EMAIL PROTECTED],
I would like to contribute to the OOo development process. I'm a quite
experienced database developer, making my money at the SiemensVDO
company. I've picked out the "Joins in dBase queries" project, as I like
parsers and know dBase dialects quite well. My problem is the lack of
time, so don't expect to get results very soon. Additionally, I will
have to do some "warming up" before I can do useful contributions (I did
not use too much of the OO database stuff before, and never installed
nor looked into the SDK).
Is it worth while and how to start?
Regards,
Chris
