Thanks very much for your prompt response and solution suggestions Stefan.
The latest incarnation of QTP, UFT (Unified Functional Testing) was installed
and I found the values for the environment variables _JAVA_OPTIONS &
IBM_JAVA_OPTIONS pointing to this so I've now 'emptied' the values as suggested
in the 3rd reference link you supplied and this has done the trick; ADS is now
launching successfully and I have used it to connect to the required LDAP
database.
I have marked the incident as resolved and closed.
Thanks again, fantastic service and result. Just wish I had been able to
contact you first! ;o)
