I have to agree... Incidentally, I didn't see the post Emanuel is replying to, since it was filtered by my ISP (fortunately, I get a daily list of held
messages, and Emanuel's was at the top of the list).

This is a rare occurrence (genuine mail for this list getting caught in the spam trap), but I noticed over 200 spam messages over the last month when I went to retrieve this message. Maybe that explains why I have been puzzled by the complaints about spam, and it certainly emphasises the need for everyone to configure their ISP's spam filters (I have the threshold score set at 3). If your ISP doesn't have spam filtering as standard (no additional cost),
then perhaps it is time to change ISPs....

The distributor list is very open: it's an unmoderated list. Basically, that means it's a spam bucket. To make it not so, I would like to change it to a discuss list and have you and me as moderators (or you, someone else, someone else). That will limit all or nearly all spam and is a neater solution than creating a new list with similar configurations....
