Manuel Subredu of Simba (http://simba.packages.ro) has generated Metalinks for OpenOffice.org.
Metalinks are XML files that contain all the Mirror locations & P2P methods to get a file for segmented downloads, along with checksums & other info. Once the download completes, file integrity is automatically verified with the included checksum. Currently, GetRight 6 (Windows, works with Wine) supports Metalink, but other download managers are adding support.
