Here's a very shortened version of what the OOo metalink looks like (it would also include Magnet & ed2k links, but these haven't been updated for 2.0.2).
Sorry about that, we really need to get auto-magnet links sorted, it is currently a very manual and boring process to create them. This wouldn't be very hard, the magnet and ed2k links are a very basic format, all that is needed is a few different hashes (sha1, tth, and ed2k) for the files and some proper formatting. Is there any way this could be integrated into simba? Magnet and ed2k links would tie in very nicely with metalinks, because the distributed p2p networks are good at supplementing download mirrors, but usually aren't strong enough to rely on by themselves (although both magnet and ed2k links support the inclusion of external http and ftp sources, this makes the link several lines long). However, support would be needed from a few of the main p2p programs to make it a success.
