regarding your discovery that all mirrors are listed using http links
might be true but I cannot believe it's mandatory. Regarding ftp mirrors
I can say that they can still be used. For developer snapshot builds
(http://download.openoffice.org/680/index.html) the index-nojs.html file
still contains links to mirror servers. Such links can point to ftp servers.
Maybe Stefan Taxhet or someone else who's more informed about bouncer
could shed some light on this...
