Not really necessary. OOo2 will use the existing template with no
problem. If you or Peter really need it in that format, please do what
you want. For myself, I think it is a waste of time and effort to go
through this exercise when it will work without problems in both
incarnations of OOo.

I agree, making a .ott isn't necessary, but since the only
template is in .stw, Peter (and others) might get the impression
that the resulting documents should be .sxw instead of .odt.
