In addition to putting the draft chapters of the OOo3 Getting Started
guide on the OOoAuthors website in .odt format, I am putting them on
the Documentation wiki. Now you can review and edit them in your
preferred format. :-)
Chapters 1 though 4 are now available:
1 Introducing OOo (combines parts of Ch 1 through 4 of GS2.x)
2 Setting up OOo (same as Ch5 of GS2.x)
3 Templates and Styles (combines Ch 12 & 13 of GS2.x)
4 Writer (same as Ch6 of GS2.x, plus some new material)

(I'm in the process of subdividing the wiki pages. Don't let that stop

If working with the .odt files, please use track changes.
If working with the wiki pages, please make corrections directly on
those pages. Proposals for major changes (such as reorganizing,
deleting sections, or adding sections) could be put on the Discussion
tab of the page, if you prefer.
Or you can email me your comments, suggestions, corrections, etc. Or
send them to the list. Whatever is easiest for you -- it all helps.
