Gian, no it doesn't work. And I realized it after I sent this email. Sorry about the confusion. But I still think forced push is not a good idea. I think we can promote the contributing doc linked above by including it in the pull request template. I would like to state avoid using forced push and rebase explicitly in the template as well to discourage people from using them.
