Well, the only issue to applying it "as is" is that you have already done
refactoring to move stuff to make it visible outside of R4SearchPolicyCore, so
if we can do it all inside then this refactoring will not be necessary. I am
not against having partial support for singletons like you suggest, but I think
I would prefer to see if we can get that partial support inside
R4SearchPolicyCore. I can try to take a closer look at it and see what needs to
be done, I suppose.
