I agree with Sahoo, that would be great for Felix to support the Java Package
API (with just values read from the MANIFEST, no OSGi headers).
So that clients (that are not OSGi aware) of that API will have at least,
reasonnable default values.
In EasyBeans (that can run in both Java SE and OSGi environment), we use that
to simply write "EasyBeans <version> started in ... ".
Notice that Equinox honors the Implementation-Version attribute.
