This was a painful to tally. The attached CSV is every email in the voting thread in the order it was received. I distilled those data into the final report above.

I asked for help tallying in #tooling-discuss <https://the-asf.slack.com/archives/C086X8CKEMB> on the ASF's Slack server <https://the-asf.slack.com>. First, @akmoffered an AI summary from Claude <https://the-asf.slack.com/archives/C086X8CKEMB/p1774373143324099>. It got the binding vote count right, but made other mistakes. Next, @sbp (in the same channel) quickly set up <https://the-asf.slack.com/archives/C086X8CKEMB/p1774373813284159> a tally page in the ATR <https://release-test.apache.org/user/tally>. This had mistakes as well. So I went back to the original email thread, first in my email client, then in the ASF's mailing list archives (via Pony Mail).

I counted 34 individual emails (messages, not votes) in my Mifos gmail account in the |[VOTE] FSIP-9: Standardize on PostgreSQL| thread, including the one from me initiating the vote <https://lists.apache.org/thread/f2kqjbw5rcopzcnfr0w461wxq8do727j>.

Pony Mail browse/search <https://lists.apache.org/[email protected]:lte=1M:FSIP-9> shows 34 emails (from 32 people) ✅

Pony Mail direct link to the voting thread <https://lists.apache.org/thread/f2kqjbw5rcopzcnfr0w461wxq8do727j> shows 28 emails (from 26 people) ⚠️

Hopefully we can come up with ways to ease future votes & tallies. Maybe it's just a matter of everyone writing more careful emails, but it sure seems like an app (or even a spreadsheet) would help a lot.

Note: STeVe <https://github.com/apache/steve/> exists, but but that's not ready for projects to use on their own yet (and I ran into a bug <https://github.com/apache/steve/issues/97> while trying).
