Mallaiah,

Adobe announced the end-of-support for Adobe Flex 4.6 for all customers
except for those that were under an existing support contract. They also
announced that Adobe Flex 4.6 was the last version that Adobe was
publishing (they reserved the right to publish subsequent versions as
bug-fixes, but they haven't exercised that option to date). I don't
believe they are entering into new support contracts for customers for that
product, but you may want to talk to your Adobe sales rep for more details
for that. General support was moved to Apache as a community-driven,
open-source project well over two years ago. In that time the Apache Flex
team has released 4 new version of the SDK, with a new version preparing
for release in the coming weeks. These releases are generally
backwards-compatible with the older Adobe releases while adding new
features and bug-fixes (Apache Flex release 4.8 was nearly identical with
the only major change being the license model).

If you have any bugs you need fixing, please report them to our community's
bug tracker (JIRA). We also encourage you to talk about bugs that you
report on our mailing lists so that we can get a better perspective on what
is going on. The Apache Flex team is volunteer driven (although there are
some committers on the project that work for large companies such as
Adobe). Our community is very strong at the moment, and we've been able to
close > 800 bugs since the SDK has been turned over to Apache from Adobe.

Hope that answers your questions.
