IMO, I agree to update the references in Flink CDC docs from Debezium 1.9 to 2.0 as the Debezium docs in 1.19 have been dropped. Flink sources in Flink CDC still need to support JDK 1.8. Upgrading Debezium to version 2.x will be a hard job. Have you ever tried to use Debezium 2.0 and JDK 1.8 together? And will some errors occur?
