[~mpercy] I thought I read that using the legacy thrift would result in a loss
of E2E support. Does it support E2E after the channel accepts the event and
there is simply no confirmation from the legacy sink to the client/event
generator?
I have spent the past couple days trying to integrate Avro clients in PHP and
Python as well as a Python Avro source with no luck. The libraries only
support Avro Files, not sockets. It was much easier using thrift in OG.
[~jfarrell] The patch from rektide doesn't work and hasn't been touched in a
long time. I'd be willing to help with testing and some dev on a new patch if
you can get a base implementation started.
