Not sure if people have seen this, the 'supersonic tour of apache cocoon' , a bit out of date, but still a good intro and even may show some things people did not know was already there.

There is a balance though, too much obviously available info might scare people off straight away, too little and the mailing lists get all sorts of how do I ...
