Dear Apache Geode Developer Community, As we begin planning for the next major and minor releases of Apache Geode, I’d like to encourage everyone to help clean up the backlog of long-standing pull requests. Some of these PRs have been open since 2021, and addressing them now will help us move forward with a healthier, more maintainable codebase.
Cleaning up stale PRs improves repository hygiene, reduces integration risks, and ensures valuable contributions aren’t lost. It also signals that the project is active and responsive—something that helps attract and retain contributors, and supports a more sustainable development process. If you are the owner of an outstanding pull request, please take a moment to revisit it. If you’re able to move it forward, that’s great—and if you need help or a reviewer, feel free to tag me or reach out directly. I’ll be happy to assist where I can. Thank you all for your continued contributions and collaboration. Let’s work together to keep Geode strong and ready for what’s next. Warm regards, Jinwoo Hwang (he/him/his) SAS® Research and Development http://JinwooHwang.com
