Great plan.
I’ll provide the agreed fix for #235 [1] today.

I also have a good fix for #202 (Overview map panel) [2] which I’ll submit soon.

Subject: [Dev] MOTION: Towards GeoExt 1.1

Hi,

now that OpenLayers 2.11 is released, I think it is time to move forward with
GeoExt 1.1, a release based on OpenLayers 2.11 and Ext JS 3.4.0.

I'd suggest we work on the tickets that are targeted for the 1.1 milestone and
ready for review [1] (currently 12 tickets). This should allow us to have a
release candidate within the next couple of weeks. People who want to have
features or fixes in 1.1 should update their patches, add unit tests, and mark
them for Review.

If people agree, I would like to have a feature freeze for the 1.1 release on
Sept. 24th, meaning that no more tickets should be added and set to Review for
the 1.1 milestone after that date.

I am +1.

Maybe we can even address some of the tickets during the FOSS4G conference. I
won't be at the FOSS4G sprint on the 17th, but it seems people want to focus on
GeoExt 2.0 at the sprint anyway. The good thing about releasing GeoExt 1.1 soon
is that once this is done, we can focus on the future of GeoExt (aka 2.0, Ext
JS 4, GXM, etc.).

I volunteer for the release manager job again.

Andreas.
