Hi folks, firstly, nice work on this PR.
Admittedly, I haven't been following the Geode project at all and therefore
don't know much about it. However I am aware that the [Geode project community
is pretty
stagnant](https://whimsy.apache.org/board/minutes/Geode.html#2024-05-15). There
is talk of moving it to the Apache Incubator.
I think it would be worthwhile figuring out if Geode is going to be sent to
the Attic before we plan on merging this PR.
